The E-60 drop speed can be adjusted. There is a plug on the front of the unit that looks like a filter plug. Once the plug is removed, there is an Allen set screw behind it. You need a 3/16" Allen wrench. Turn the screw in to slow down drop speed, beck it out to increase drop speed. The screw is touchy, once you find the sweet spot. IF you tighten the set screw too much, the plow will not lower at all. In between adjustments you MUST put the plug back in or you will get a bath when you lower the plow and make a huge mess. It is a PITA but that is how it is. Remove plug, adjust, put plug back in, check drop speed, remove plug, adjust, put plug back in, check drop speed, etc.

Those of you who have owned an E-47 or E-57 would expect to find the second filter on the front of the unit where the drop speed screw is. On the E-60, the other filter is on the BACK of the unit. It is the high pressure filter so it is important to keep it clean as it filters ALL of the fluid leaving the Gear Pump.

The E-60, E-58H, V-70, V-71, and E-72 have adjustable drop speed. The E-47 and E-57 do not.
